“My name is Sayali Patukale. I am currently in the ENTC department in my final year. I was a part of DOME in my second year second semester. The subjects I studied were IoT, Computer Organisation and Architechture, Object Oriented Programming, and Data Science. This module taught me a lot of useful skills including but not limited to Java, IoT, R Language, and data science models. The projects and assignments in the coursework were creative and unique. Professors Sangeeta Kurundkar and Ashutosh Marathe are excellent mentors. They guided me not just through my DOME semester, but throughout my VIT years. It has been an honor to learn from all of the faculties. Their teachings will stay with me throughout my life.

The Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering offers a distinct set of subjects that promote creative thinking and practical application. Their emphasis on merging multiple subjects and supporting academic writing prepares students for prestigious careers. The department's unique and diversified curriculum helped me secure a semester-long internship at a prestigious multinational corporation. My data science project impressed the interviewers immensely which blended unconventional methodologies and different topics. It was also published by Springer and granted a patent for the same which helped me stand out during the interview. The teachers of the department went out of their way to encourage us to publish our work and gave us a platform to demonstrate our abilities around the world.
