'Margadarshak' - Lecture Series for placements Preparations

 Every industry has its own need of skill set and if we know their expectations, placements can be maximised.

With this in mind, we are inviting our most valuable and excellently placed alumni (recent passouts) to share their interview experiences and guide you thoroughly. Feel free to interact with the speakers and ask your queries.

The first session is on 16th Jan 2024 in Room no 1222 at 4 pm.  The brochure is attached herewith.

Guidelines for EDI (S.Y./T.Y.) and Major Project (A.Y: 2019-20, Sem: 2)

Dear students,

Following are the guidelines for EDI project topic selection and formation of groups.
 
1. For SY/TY EDI projects of sem 2 of AY 2019-20 students can select the project based on any of the  following five areas:
i) Agriculture
ii) Smart city
iii) AIML
iv)Autonomous smart vehicles
v) Any other relevant area

2.Students should consult EDI batch guides for formation of groups (within the batch) and finalization of statements
 
3. Statements should be finalised till  15th Jan-2020 in consultation with guides.

  EDI (S.Y./T.Y.) and Major Project Examination (A.Y: 2019-20, Sem: 1)

 Date & Time: Saturday  14 December 2019 , 10:00 AM TO 5.30 PM

 B.Tech. EDI MSE Review Schedule (A.Y: 2019-20, Sem: 1)

The Mid semester review of B.Tech Major Projects is scheduled on 18th October 2019 at 10 am.

All the student groups are required to keep the following things ready for presentation during mid semester review.
1) A review paper reviewing at least 20 references. Inclusion of more is welcome.
2)  An E poster which can explain the topic of project.

The marks distribution for the review is a below:

     1.Review paper 10 Marks

      2.Regular interaction with Guide : 10 Marks

      3.     Project Design and Implementation:

                  a.       Demonstration and question answer : 20 Marks

b.      E poster design and presentation: 10 Marks 

 Mid semester review of Project groups who fail to be present E poster on 19th October shall be treated as pending and incomplete.

Industry Advisory Board Meeting organized by Dept of E & TC (A.Y: 2019-20, Sem: 1)

The meeting of industry advisory board for the year 2019–20 is organized on Saturday, 19th October  2019 from 11.00 am. to 1.00 pm.

The main objective of this meeting is to seek valuable inputs from Industry members in the regard of student projects, internships, faculty research, collaborative research, product development and academic reforms to be implemented. A better connect can be established between academia and industry through this meeting.

Parents meeting organized by Dept of E & TC  (A.Y: 2019-20, Sem: 1)

Dear Parents, 
You are cordially invited for the parents’ meeting organized by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, on Saturday, 19th October  2019 from 9.00 am. to 11.00 am.

AMCAT Examination Re-scheduled 

Dear students, due to heavy rains, the examination could not be conducted on announced dates. It has been rescheduled on following dates: 

30th September : SY B.Tech

1st October : TY B.Tech.

3rd October :  Final Year B.Tech.

Timings will remain as per earlier schedule.

MID SEM REVIEW OF EDI AND MAJOR PROJECTS (A.Y: 2019-20, Sem: 1)

Dear students

Mid sem reviews of EDI projects (SY and TY E&TC) and major projects (B.Tech E&TC) are scheduled from 11/10/2019 to 18/10/2019. Detailed schedule will be circulated soon. Students should note the following guidelines regarding the same.
 
1) Students should summarize their work and  take the signature and remark of the project guide in FF180. 
 
2) They should submit a  paper based on literature review of the topic (in IEEE format attached herewith). Students should consult their guides well in advance for guidelines regarding  paper writing.
 
3)They will be evaluated for 50 marks based on 1) Regular reporting 2) Status of work 3) Quality of literature review paper submitted.

“Workshop on Engineering Application in Astronomy”

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication VIT Pune, is organizing a "Workshop on Engineering Applications in Astronomy" in collaboration with The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, from 19th to 24th August 2019 for Final Year B.Tech & M.Tech ( 1st year and 2nd year) students of all branches of engineering.
