Department of Electronics Engineering is organizing "A Certificate Course in COMPUTER VISION", starting from 7th January 2017. The course objective is to develop and enhance expertise in Vision Computing to benefit the students/faculty/researchers and industry professionals to solve real-world problems. This course covers the wide spectrum of Computer Vision field. It also gives exposure to the OPENCV and Python as the implementation platform for Computer Vision algorithm development.

STTP on "Implementation of Internet of Things and Image Processing using Raspberry Pi" was organized by Department of Electronics Engineering and Department of Computer Engineering, jointly on 11th to 14th November 2016. There were 32 participants including students and faculty from various engineering colleges and universities from Maharashtra. It was organized in association with Pantech Proed Pvt Ltd. Mr. Rahul from R & D department of Pantech was the resource person. The STTP received the overwhelming response and appreciation from the participants.

Parents meeting was held on 8^th Oct 2016. Prof. Mrs. K.S. Degaonkar welcomed all the parents and briefed about Teaching – Learning process. Honorable Director Prof. (Dr). R.M. Jalnekar addressed parents and conveyed the purpose of forming ‘Parents Forum’ so that parents can contribute to the department in terms of strengthening teaching-learning process and extending support for students’ projects and internships. Head of Electronics Department, Prof. (Dr.) Shripad S. Bhatlawande presented the details of Academic Practices in Electronics Department, to all parents.

Workshop on “Speech Technology” was was conducted during 26th September 2016 to 29th September 2016 by Department of Electronics engineering. This STTP was co ordinated by  Prof. Dr. M.S. Deshpande and Prof. P.A. Kulkarni. Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Rao,  from IIT, Bombay, Prof. Shrikant Joshi, from VIIT, Pune, Prof. (Dr.) J. S. Chitode, from VIT, Pune and Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Deshpande, VIT, Pune were the resource persons for the workshop.

Short term training program on "Signal Processing using MATLAB” was conducted on 12,13,19, 20th Sept. 2016 by Department of Electronics engineering. This STTP was co ordinated by  Prof. K.S.Degaonkar and Prof R.V.Tornekar. There were 26 participants including students and faculty from various colleges and universities. Dr. Sandip Phatak, Research Engineer,Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Albuquerque, New Mexico , and Dr. Sushma Shelake, CoEP Pune, were the resource persons for the STTP.

One week Short term Training program (STTP) on “Multimedia Signal Processing” from 8th to12th August 2016

Short term training program on "Multimedia Signal Processing” was conducted during 8^th to 12^th August 2016 by Department of Electronics engineering. This STTP was co ordinated by  Prof. K.S.Degaonkar, Prof P.A.Kulkarni, Prof R.V.Tornekar and Prof B. K. Kadam. There were 27 participants including students and faculty from various colleges and universities. Dr. A. V. Deshmukh, Dr. Sandeep Phatak Research Engineer at Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. M. S. Sutaone College of Engineering, Pune, Dr. Aditya Abhyankar SP Pune University,  Dr.Vishwas Udapikar, Founder and Director, Wavelet Group, Pune were the resource persons for the STTP.

Short term training program on "Project based learning using ARM processor was conducted from 11th to 15th August 2016 by Department of Electronics engineering. This STTP was co ordinated by  Prof(Dr) Ashwinee Barbadekar and Prof Shital Raut. There were 37 participants including students and faculty from various colleges and universities.
